Installation Steps

    Purchase your eSIM

    Browse destinations and select a plan. Complete checkout — your eSIM will be ready in seconds.

    Tap the one-tap install link

    Open the delivery email on your iPhone and tap the one-tap install link. It opens the eSIM setup screen for you — nothing to scan, nothing to type.

    If the link does not open eSIM setup

    Save the QR code from the same email, then go to Settings → Cellular/Mobile Data → Add eSIM → Use QR Code and scan the saved image. On iOS below 17.4 the link may not open setup directly, and this is the path to use.

    Configure your eSIM

    Label it "Travel". Set it as your data line. Keep your primary number for calls/texts.

    Enable Data Roaming

    Settings → Mobile Service → your eSIM → Data Roaming → On. Your eSIM activates at your destination.

Is Your Phone Unlocked?

Your phone must be carrier-unlocked to use an eSIM from Roamaly. Here's how to check:

  1. 1.Go to Settings → General → About
  2. 2.Look for "Carrier Lock" — should say "No SIM restrictions"
  3. 3.If locked, contact your carrier to unlock
Troubleshooting
  • •Restart your iPhone if the eSIM doesn't appear after installation.
  • •Enable Data Roaming for the travel eSIM line specifically.
  • •Link did not open setup? Use the QR fallback above, or enter the SM-DP+ address manually.
  • •"Cannot add eSIM" means your phone may be carrier-locked.
