iPhone 17 Series eSIM Guide

   Purchase your eSIM

   Browse destinations and select a plan. Complete checkout — your eSIM will be ready in seconds.

   Open the activation email

   Check your email for the activation details. You'll see a QR code and a "Direct Install" button.

   Tap Direct Install (recommended)

   Tap the direct install link — it opens the eSIM setup screen automatically. No QR scanning needed. Alternatively, go to Settings → Mobile Service → Add eSIM → scan the QR code.

   Label your eSIM

   Name it something like "Travel" or the country name. Choose it as your data line for travel.

   You're connected!

   Turn on Data Roaming (Settings → Mobile Service → your eSIM → Data Roaming). Your eSIM activates when you arrive at your destination.

Your phone must be carrier-unlocked to use an eSIM from Roamaly. Here's how to check:

1. 1.Go to Settings → General → About
2. 2.Scroll to "Carrier Lock" — it should say "No SIM restrictions"
3. 3.If locked, contact your carrier to request an unlock

• •eSIM not appearing? Restart your iPhone and try again.
• •No data connection? Enable Data Roaming: Settings → Mobile Service → your eSIM → Data Roaming → On.
• •QR code not scanning? Try increasing screen brightness or use the direct install link instead.
• •Error "eSIM cannot be added"? Your iPhone may be carrier-locked. Contact your carrier.
