Roamaly does not sell an unlimited plan at all. Not in Europe, not in India, not on any of the seven destinations we sampled — 0 unlimited plans out of 121 (read 28 October 2026). If unlimited is what you want, this page will tell you so rather than talk you out of it.

What we do sell is metered data in two shapes: Day Passes, which give you a daily allowance across a chosen number of days, and fixed bundles, which give you a total valid for a period with no daily cap inside it. On Europe that split is 5 and 10; on India, 5 and 12.

India is the clearer case for an allowance. Usage swings hard between a transit day in Delhi and a quiet day somewhere else. A fixed bundle handles that best, since the total pools across the trip; a Day Pass handles it if you would rather know the daily number. Where Roamaly wins

• You do not pay for headroom you never use. Most travellers are not streaming video on mobile data all day, and an allowance priced per day reflects that.
• The limit is a number, not a policy. You know your allowance before you buy, daily or total. There is no fair-use threshold to discover at an inconvenient moment.
• Hotspot works on most plans and devices, which matters if a laptop or a travelling companion depends on your connection.
• 34 countries on one Europe plan, named and checkable.

Where Holafly wins, plainly

• If you want unlimited, we do not sell it. That is the end of the argument for heavy users. Every Roamaly plan we checked is metered — 0 unlimited out of 121 across seven destinations.
• Trust at a glance. 4.7 from 108,600 Trustpilot reviews, and 4.5 from 58,000 ratings shown on their destination pages. Roamaly has no Trustpilot profile and five reviews sitewide. That is a very large asymmetry and it is not in our favour.
• No data budgeting at all. Some people simply do not want to think about it, and that is a legitimate thing to buy.

How to choose

Ask yourself one question: do you know roughly how much mobile data you use in a day?

If yes, and it is a couple of gigabytes, an allowance is cheaper and you lose nothing. If no, or if the answer is "a lot, and I do not want to think about it", buy unlimited — from whoever sells it, which today is not us.

What matters is where the threshold sits and what happens when you cross it, which is a number to look up in the provider's own terms before you buy — we have not read Holafly's, so we do not quote them. How much data does a travel day actually use?

Enough that the answer changes the decision, which is why we are not going to invent a table of per-hour figures. Can I use a hotspot on a Roamaly plan?

What happens when my allowance runs out?
